Based in Oshawa Ontario, FROM THE HIP, established in 1997

is one of Canada's hottest Tragically Hip Tribute Bands. The precision drumming of Chris and solid bass playing of Andrew  provide a concrete foundation for the band. Enter Dave on guitar... serving up classic Hip riffs 'til the cows come home. Finally we have Shawn paying homage to the late great Gord Downie with a vocal mastery that very few others can achieve!

From The Hip is an incredible Tribute to the Tragically Hip. One of the few original Hip Tributes (well over 20 years strong) before others jumped on the bandwagon after Gord Downie's tragic passing. From The Hip's lead singer Shawn replicates the vocal experience with amazing accuracy and sonic quality. Check out how this no nonsense band focuses on the the music, not the theatrics.
